These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by the Korean American Pharmacists Association of New York & New Jersey (“KAPhA NY & NJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), available at https://kapha.org (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Website Use & Eligibility
The Site is intended for pharmacists, pharmacy students, healthcare professionals, and members of the public interested in our community. You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to transmit harmful or unlawful content.
3. Informational Content Disclaimer
Content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, pharmaceutical, legal, or professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a licensed pharmacist, physician, or other qualified professional. 4. User Submissions
Members and authorized users may submit content to the Site, including job postings, photos, announcements, and other materials (“Submissions”). By submitting content, you represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content, and you grant KAPhA NY & NJ a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute the Submissions in connection with the Site and our communications.
Submissions must not be unlawful, defamatory, infringing, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any Submission at our discretion and without notice.
5. Intellectual Property
Except for User Submissions and clearly attributed third-party materials, all content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and the KAPhA NY & NJ name and mark — is the property of KAPhA NY & NJ and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
6. Email Communications & Newsletter Consent
When you subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise provide your email address to us, you expressly consent to receive email communications from KAPhA NY & NJ, including announcements, event invitations, educational content, job opportunities, and organizational updates.
Email delivery is handled by Mailchimp, a third-party email marketing service provider. By subscribing, you acknowledge that your email address and related subscription information will be transferred to and stored by Mailchimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
We typically send newsletters and updates on a periodic basis (for example, monthly newsletters plus occasional event or time-sensitive announcements). We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties.
7. Unsubscribe Rights
You may unsubscribe from our email communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of every email we send. You may also request removal by emailing us at info@kapha.org. Unsubscribe requests are processed promptly.
8. Privacy & Data Handling
We collect only the information you provide to us (such as name, email address, and professional affiliation) and limited technical data necessary to operate the Site. We use this information to communicate with you, administer membership and events, and improve the Site. We do not sell your personal information.
